Australia’s active vaccine safety system
Surveillance of 2019 influenza vaccine safety commenced from 1 April 2019. As of 2 June, more than 150,000 participants have provided feedback via SMS following their vaccination. The current reported event rates are consistent with existing data on influenza vaccines and no safety signals have been detected.
