Data on this page show the responses of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (or their parent/carer) who received an influenza vaccine in 2026 and completed an AusVaxSafety survey sent in the days following vaccination.

The influenza vaccines currently in use for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in 2026 include:

Standard influenza vaccines

  • Flucelvax (individuals aged 6 months and older)
  • Fluzone (individuals aged 6 months and older)
  • Influvac (individuals aged 6 months and older)
  • Vaxigrip (individuals aged 6 months and older).

Adjuvanted or high-dose vaccines

  • Fluad (individuals aged 50 years and over)
  • Fluzone High-Dose (individuals aged 60 years and over).

These data provide a profile of what to expect in the days following your influenza vaccination and can assist in planning for vaccination.

Data on this page will be updated weekly throughout the 2026 influenza season.

AusVaxSafety's active vaccine safety surveillance system complements the enhanced safety surveillance activities of the Therapeutic Goods Administration.

Further information and resources on the 2026 influenza vaccines are available on the NCIRS influenza immunisation webpage.
