Data on this page show the responses of individuals (or their parent/carer) aged 5 years and older who received a standard inactivated (injectable) influenza vaccine in 2026 and completed an AusVaxSafety survey sent in the days following vaccination.

Standard inactivated (injectable) influenza vaccines currently in use in this age group include:

  • Flucelvax (individuals aged 6 months and older)
  • Fluzone (individuals aged 6 months and older)
  • Influvac (individuals aged 6 months and older)
  • Vaxigrip (individuals aged 6 months and older).

These data provide a profile of what to expect in the days following your child’s/your influenza vaccination and can assist in planning for vaccination.

Data on this page will be updated weekly throughout the 2026 influenza season.

AusVaxSafety's active vaccine safety surveillance system complements the enhanced safety surveillance activities of the Therapeutic Goods Administration.

Further information and resources on the 2026 influenza vaccines are available on the NCIRS influenza immunisation webpage.
